Use the website when you need to count something now — cells on a slide, colonies on a plate, samples through a queue — without installing an app or creating an account. Count with the mouse or the number keys, set a limit so you hear it when you hit your target, and switch to focus mode when the count is all that matters.
A normal counter is one large tap area with a single number. A multi counter puts two to six named, color-coded counters in a grid with a running total — enough for a 100-cell differential or a four-way sort. Every counter can carry its own limit, and the multi counter can also cap the total.

Yes. The public counter page is free and does not require a login. Click to count up, click the minus button (or right-click a counter) to count back down.

Yes. The bell button on a counter sets a count limit, and multi counters also take an overall limit for the total. When the count reaches the limit, the value turns red and an alarm sounds.

No. This public page keeps your counter in the browser session only (cleared when the tab closes). For saved counters that sync with the Lab Laps mobile app, sign in and use /app/counter.
