How to use the periodic table
- 1Search for an element by name, symbol or atomic number.
- 2Click a category to highlight its elements and dim the rest.
- 3Click an element for its data, then step to its neighbours with the arrows.
Look up any chemical element in seconds. This interactive periodic table shows all 118 elements in the standard 18-column layout. Search by name, symbol or atomic number, filter by category, and click an element for its atomic mass, electron configuration, electronegativity and melting and boiling points.
Sign in for the web workspace, or download the app — same account, synced across devices.

Every element card lists the atomic mass, the group, period and block, the electron configuration, the electronegativity on the Pauling scale, and the melting and boiling points in kelvin and degrees Celsius. Elements without a stable isotope show the mass number of their most stable isotope in square brackets.
Yes. The Lab Laps periodic table is free, needs no login and runs in any browser, on a computer, tablet or phone.
Click an element to see its atomic number, symbol, atomic mass, group, period and block, electron configuration, electronegativity (Pauling scale), and melting and boiling points in kelvin and degrees Celsius.
There are 118 confirmed elements, from hydrogen (1) to oganesson (118). They are arranged in 7 periods and 18 groups; the lanthanides and actinides sit in two rows below the main table.
Each colour is an element category: alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, transition metals, post-transition metals, metalloids, reactive nonmetals, halogens, noble gases, lanthanides and actinides. Click a category to highlight its elements.
Elements without a stable isotope have no standard atomic weight. For them, the table shows the mass number of the most stable known isotope in square brackets, as IUPAC tables do.
Yes, in the Lab Laps app for iOS and Android: it has the same periodic table and works offline at the bench. Signed in on the web, you also find it in your Lab Laps workspace next to your other lab tools.

Download Lab Laps and keep your timers, protocols, and tools together in one app.
